2.Dynamic ID Allocation

Without knowing its ID, the Subsystem Manager periodically broadcasts ID Request messages hoping that the ID Allocator service, somewhere in the network, replies ID Granted messages. Once its ID is known, the Subsystem Manager broadcasts Subsystem Manager Ready to the Node Managers to join the subsystem. See Figure 6 Subsystem Manager Interaction for more information.
